If you have purchased Domain as well as hosting services from us, it will make your job super easy. You can simply go to the “Service Detail” tab of your hosting plan and copy the “Nameservers”, then go to your Domain DNS settings from your dashboard and paste new nameservers. Allow about 4-8hours of propagation time and you are good to go. Alternatively, contact our Australian based customer support team by submitting a support ticket and we will get this done for you in no time. 

Email Hosting

Simply click on “Forwarders” under the “Email” tab of your emails’ dedicated cPanel and follow the steps from there. If you need assist with setting it up for you, contact our Australian base customer support team to guide you through the process. 

If you have a regular Web Hosting plan set up with us, then it comes with Email Hosting at no extra charge – check your plan for the details. If not, you will need Email Hosting if you want to use your domain name to set up personal or business email accounts.

    Research and select a new hosting plan that meets your requirements in terms of features, performance, and pricing.

  • Backup Your Website:
    Before initiating any transfer, it’s crucial to create a backup of your entire website, including files, databases, and configuration settings. Most hosting control panels provide tools to create backups.

  • Select a Transfer Method:There are a few common methods for transferring a hosting account:

    • Manual Transfer: Download your website files via FTP, export databases, and then upload them to the new hosting account. This method is suitable for smaller websites.
    • cPanel Migration: If you have a cPanel hosting, then you can use our built-in migration tools.
    • Migration Plugins: Some hosting providers offer migration plugins or tools that automate the transfer process.
    • Raise a Support Ticket: To get a peace of mind. Contact our Support Team to complete the migration for you. 
  • Transfer Domain Name:
    If your domain name is registered with the old hosting provider, you’ll need to update the domain’s nameservers to point to your new hosting provider. Alternatively, you can transfer the domain to the new provider.

  • Upload Files to New Hosting:
    If you’re using manual transfer or a tool that requires file uploads, connect to your new hosting account via FTP and upload your website files.

  • Import Databases:
    If your website relies on a database, export it from the old hosting account and import it into the new one. You can use tools like phpMyAdmin for MySQL databases.

  • Update Configuration Settings:
    Check and update any configuration settings that may be specific to your hosting environment. This could include paths, database connection details, and other server-specific settings.

  • Test Your Website:
    Before updating DNS records to point to the new hosting, test your website on the new server to ensure everything is functioning correctly.

  • Update DNS Records:
    Once you are satisfied with the setup on the new hosting, update your domain’s DNS records to point to the nameservers provided by the new hosting provider.

  • Monitor for Propagation:
    DNS changes may take some time to propagate globally. During this period, some visitors may see your website on the old hosting, while others see it on the new hosting. Monitor the situation and address any issues that arise.
